About this event
Love in the High Altitudes
- Act I: The Mountain Awakening
Dawn breaks over the misty ridges and cascading cliffs of Kapchorwa. Pavilion Events transforms the bride's ancestral homestead into an open-air wonderland, featuring expansive white marquee domes, warm amber mood lighting, gold accents, and bespoke floral installations interwoven with highland greenery and eucalyptus. - Act II: The Arrival of the Groom’s Entourage
Dressed in sharp tailored earth tones and traditional regalia, the groom arrives accompanied by energetic Kalenjin folk songs, clan elders, and groomsmen. The groom’s family formally brings the customary gifts—livestock tokens, blankets, and gift hampers—honoring long-standing Sebei customs. - Act III: The Unveiling of the Bride
Accompanied by her matrons in coordinated modern traditional attire, the bride emerges to joyful ululations. Under Pavilion Events’ custom arched focal gazebo, the couple shares their vows of intent, exchanges rings, and receives blessings from community elders and clergy. - Act IV: The Highland Feast & Celebration
As the afternoon sun dips over the Sipi plains, guests enjoy a banquet set at elegant banquet tables. The evening winds down with vibrant dancing, heartfelt speeches, and ambient music under fairy lights.
“"I’ve been to a few introductions in the village, but this setup was on another level. Driving up the red dirt road and suddenly seeing this pristine white marquee village tucked into the Kapchorwa hills felt so surreal. The vibe under the tents was incredible - very elegant but still felt like home."”
